Award Categories
She’s Our Hero Award: This Award honors those in public finance who give tirelessly of their time and talents and expertise to improve their communities and serve as an inspirational role model to the public finance industry and WPF members.
Claire Goodman Rising Star Award: This Award honors emerging leaders in public finance under 35 and with seven years or less professional experience whose record reflects ongoing and exceptional growth in contribution to the profession and increased levels of leadership, responsibility, and sphere of impact.
Lifetime Achievement Award: This award honors outstanding leaders with at least 10 years of documented accomplishments in the field of public finance who have had a significant impact on a large number of individuals and organizations. The Lifetime Achievement Award is the highest honor bestowed upon an individual by Women in Public Finance
Award Guidelines
Process: WPF members* are invited to nominate women they feel are deserving of one of the above Awards. Nominations must include a detailed description of the nominee’s contributions to public finance and be submitted through the official nomination form.
Self-nominations are not accepted.

Annual Founder's Award
Criteria
The Nominee demonstrates one or more of the following:
Leadership: The individual been a leader in their field. The individual designed or implemented one or more high-impact programs or projects that have been widely respected.
Professional Achievement & Involvement: The individual has made meaningful contributions to the body of knowledge of public finance through various ways including conference presentations, articles, books, etc., career advancement.
Service to WPF: The individual has made meaningful contributions to the betterment of WPF and/or its Chapters.
Mentorship: The individual has contributed substantial time and expertise to help other women in the public finance industry by leading organizations or networks, serving on relevant boards or committees, and/or mentoring others).
Prizes
The Award winner receives:
One complimentary pass to WPF annual conference in the year they receive the Award
Recognition during that conference’s Founders’ Awards ceremony
Photo and bio on the Founders’ Award webpage
