Scholarships

Women in Public Finance’s scholarship program recognizes high school girls who have demonstrated scholastic achievement, aptitude in mathematics and, leadership skills. Women in Public Finance hopes to encourage these young women to consider careers in finance or public finance.

Award recipients are invited to attend our annual conference if they are able to do so, where they will not only be recognized for their achievements by more than 400 professional women from across the nation but will also meet our conference speakers.

Emmy winning political analyst for ABC News, Senior News Analyst for National Public Radio, and inductee in the Broadcasting and Cable Hall of Fame

   
 

Madeleine K. Albright (2006)
Former Assistant to President Bush and Counselor to Vice President Cheney

   
 

Mary Matalin (2005)
Former Assistant to President Bush and Counselor to Vice President Cheney

   
 

Dee Dee Myers (2004)
White House Press Secretary (She was the first woman and the youngest person ever to hold that job)

   
 

Ann Richards (2003)
45th Governor of Texas (the first woman elected to that job)

   

This year’s conference and luncheon will be held on September 12, 2008, at the Marriott Hotel in downtown Chicago.

Awards will be presented by Chicago’s own first lady Maggie Daley.

Applications must be received by August 15, 2008.
