WPF Awards

Women in Public Finance gather every year to honor achievements by exceptional women in the public finance industry. The Women in Public Finance Awards presented at this Founders’ Event include the Lifetime Achievement Award, the She’s Our Hero Award and the Rising Star Award. Award recipients are nominated from colleagues across the industry and selected by an award committee of the Founders and past recipients.

WPF “Lifetime Achievement” Award - given to the woman involved in the public finance field for 10 years or more who has consistently demonstrated skill, drive, integrity and vision.

  • 2007 Award Recipient: Sarah Eubanks, Standard & Poor’s
  • 2006 Award Recipient: Claire Cohen, Fitch Ratings

WPF "She's our Hero" Award - given to the woman who manages career, self-development, family issues and civic involvement - all at the same time.

  • 2007 Award Recipient: Dana Bunting, Goldman Sachs
  • 2006 Award Recipient: Joanna Horsnail, Chapman and Cutler

WPF "Rising Star" Award - given to the woman involved in the public finance field for 10 years or less whose work demonstrates skill and intelligence for long-term impact in field.

  • 2007 Award Recipient: DeShana Forney, Illinois Housing Development Authority
  • 2006 Award Recipient: Jennie Huang, Morgan Stanley
